Who we are
Garway Village Hall and Community Centre is run by the Garway Community Centre (CIO) trustees who are:

The trustees named above are also trustees of the Garway Village Hall Charity that continues to hold the assets of the charity. The Garway Community Association Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) received charitable status from the Charity Commission on 12th August 2019 (Registered Charity Number 1184864).
A public meeting, of the members of Garway Community Association CIO, was held at Garway Community Centre on 22nd September 2022 with a resolution to change from a CIO Association model to a CIO Foundation model.
The members voted in favour of changing to a CIO Foundation model.
At the Garway Community Association CIO Trustees meeting on the 27th October 2022 a resolution to change the name from Garway Community Association CIO to Garway Community Centre CIO was passed unanimously.
The change of name to Garway Community Centre CIO, a Foundation Model CIO, was approved by the Charities Commission on the 26th February 2023 (Registered Charity Number 1184864).
The Garway Village Hall Charity will continue to own the Old Village Hall building until it has been sold. Following the completion of the sale of the Old Hall the Community Centre will then be transferred to the ownership of the Garway Community Association (CIO) and the Village Hall trust will be wound up.
Trustee meetings historically have take place on the first Thursday of every month, however, during Covid closure, this has been very much reduced and mainly via zoom.
